According to PANews, Galaxy cryptocurrency researcher Christine Kim believes that due to the complexity of the Pectra fork and the greater demand for upgrades, there is a high possibility that it will be split into two independent upgrades (Prague upgrade and Electra upgrade).
Christine Kim previously summarized the 196th Ethereum core developer meeting and stated that Ethereum developers are seriously considering splitting the Pectra upgrade into two upgrades.
Christine Kim added that if developers decide to split the Pectra upgrade into two hard forks, its scope could change dramatically. Ethereum developers will make a decision on this at the next Ethereum all-core developer call on September 19.
